When route cards are required
Route cards are generally required whenever a building must have a fire alarm system under building law. They are kept at the fire alarm panel and show the fire brigade, per detector zone, the optimal route to the triggered detector.
In complex buildings such as hospitals, schools, shopping centres or industrial plants, fast orientation decides the success of the deployment.
- Front: overview plan with the panel’s location
- Back: detail plan with the route to the detector
- Unambiguous numbering of all detector zones
- Ongoing updates after structural changes
